Installations should be safe, functional, clean, organized, and professional. Employees are expected to recognize that appearance, attention to detail, and respect for the customer's property are part of completing the job correctly. ### Qualifications * Mechanical aptitude and ability to use common hand and power tools. * Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. * Willingness to learn solar, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, networking, and kiosk technologies. * Ability to work effectively with a Job Lead and other team members. * Dependable transportation to the designated reporting location unless otherwise arranged. * Ability to work outdoors and in typical Arizona weather conditions. * Ability to perform the physical duties associated with construction and equipment installation. * Basic electrical or mechanical experience is preferred but not required for an otherwise qualified candidate. * Previous solar, HVAC, electrical, construction, telecommunications, maintenance, or technical installation experience is a plus. ### What JTI Values Technical skills can be taught. JTI values employees who: * Show up ready to work. * Ask questions when instructions or conditions are unclear. * Take responsibility for the quality of their work. * Treat customers, coworkers, tools, and property with respect. * Admit mistakes rather than hiding them. * Learn from experience. * Understand that completing a job correctly is more important than simply completing it quickly. ### Reporting Structure **Reports to:** Job Lead / Supervisor / Management The Installation Technician is not expected to independently design, engineer, price, or manage projects unless specifically authorized. When job conditions differ from the plan or an employee is uncertain how to proceed, work should stop at the affected task and the matter should be brought to the Job Lead or Supervisor. ### Position Type Field / Shop Installation Technician Work may include local and regional travel, outdoor work, customer sites, construction environments, equipment rooms, rooftops, ground-mounted systems, and JTI shop or production work.
